Remove problematic formatting from copied text

I need to know what I am doing incorrectly when I copy/paste from a word document into a campaign.

First off, I am going into a previous campaign and choosing copy.

Deleting all copy

Going to the document I need, then copy and paste it as plain text into the campaign.

The next step I do is to format the copy the way I want it to look (bold, font, font size, etc.)

Continuously clicking done and save as I go along

Once finished, I click save again.

the problem occurs when I either send out the campaign, or preview it.

The changes that I've made in the formatting don't remain.

Hi @AudreyDavis ,

Great question! Below are instructions to copy/paste text into your template without any formatting from the original document you're coping it from:

  1. Highlight the content you want to copy and click Ctrl+C (for PC) or Command+C (for Mac).
  2. Use Ctrl+Shift+V (for PC) or Options+Shift+Command+V (for Mac) to paste the copied text without styles into your template.

This will remove any and all styles from being pasted into Constant Contact. I would also recommend bringing in a brand new text block into your campaign, and pasting the copied text into there, rather than the old text block (even after deleting the previous text).
