Trying to incorporate bullets within my email is a BIG problem. How can a CTCT customer effectively use bullets, a very popular suggestion for email marketing, within an email. Please advise. Thanks. Steven Wilson
Thanks so much for asking about how to style lists with bullets in your email campaign. And we're sorry for any problems you're having! Just highlight the text you need to style, and select the button to add either bullets or numbers:
Tip: To indent a bullet, place your cursor at the start of the bulleted text and press the Tab key on your keyboard. Press Shift + Tab to outdent the bullet.
That's a great question! I apologize at this time being able to create a sub-list like this is not a feature we currently provide. It is however a feature request we are still collecting feedback on. In fact, I have submitted this feature request in your account to the appropriate teams. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with in the meantime!
How do I get spaces between bullets? When I format the text and indicate 1.2 spacing, it only formats the bulk text, not the bulleted section.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community about your email. The line spacing tool does not apply to bulleted and numbered lists. Instead the line spacing for these lists will remain at the default 1.2 spacing. Being able to change this formatting is a feature request we have tracked in your account. The workaround we suggest in the meantime is to copy and paste your bullet information from an outside source.
I did copy and paste my bullets, spaced the way I wanted them to be, from a seperate Word doc, but the Constant Contact email does not recognize the spacing. Is there a workaround that that works?
I'm sorry that the copy and paste option from Word didn't work the way you wanted. At this time there isn't another workaround. You could possibly try to copy and paste from another source aside from Word. In the meantime, I will absolutely submit your feedback. Please feel free to reach out should you need anything else.
Thank you and have a great day!
